Preview 2021 Pain Clinic

New Imaging reveals source of Tension Migraines

Besides the arthritis, I have 3 discs that are degenerate in my upper spine [C3-C4, C4-C5, C6-C7] the worst of it below my C3. In addition bone spurs & nerves are being pinched with muscles that are locked up - this is the root/source of why all the neck/headaches for the past 5 Plus Years.

...and no more merely treating symptoms!

FEB 2021 UPDATE:
PRP Treatment underway

March 2021 Update:
Treatment didn't go so well on the front end.
Limited Medication to stymie the pain.
Did not do well at all being stripped of my pain meds in February.
On top of that I had an allergic reaction that
brought me to my knees in the Emergency Room
a week after the PRP Treatment.
I'm heading into April with Physical Therapy.
I can put on a mediocre face around people in public,
but @ home I'm Sleeping in a Recliner,
setting up with a neck brace,
and wondering when/if the treatment
will be worth it

Oh yeah by the way, my insurance bailed on me.
So it's is sort of a double whammy.
Not only can I not revisit the specialist in St. Cloud [Rejuv Medical]
But they wont even let me pay out of pocket expenses.
It's a little frustrating.

We will see what April brings.
I'm so grateful for friends, family,
and an extended church family that has my back.

April Update:
Church Leadership launching me on
a 3 Month Sabbatical

May Update:
I ended up having a
Full RIGHT HIP Replacement,
with my left getting switched out,
this fall/winter due to complications,
with my new right hip being too long.
[Temporarily fitting me for a heel insert]

June Update:
Mismeasurement/calculation during surgery
lead to 3/4 to a full inch longer right leg post surgery.
While debating to extend the left hip surgically fall'21
the same distance in order to match the right.
more complications: the right hip flexor (now longer)
is froze up beyond rehab treatment.
so do we go back in and shorten the right?
do I do repair work on the tendon?
or do I assume it all works out when / if we lengthen the left?

stay tuned for more 2021 lowlights...

Sept Update:
Rehab through the summer
Get a 2nd opinion
Check into Mayo?

October Update:

It's Gonna Be OK
