~ Valentines ~
A most memorable Valentine's Day
There is something about
Being on Mission Together.
For Years Anna & I have been on Mission,
even before we knew each other
God called us to follow Him,
and to bring others along,
"Come See a Man who knows..."
~ said the woman at the well, & Phil, & Anna
And though we could have continued to be
on mission individually, I think we both agree,
that it is an awesome experience to share in,
and Be on Mission Together.
I think that is one of the contributing factors
of our love for Africa. We see Jesus through the
Binoculars of each others perspective.
We love being on Mission Together,
both abroad - but even more so @home.
We love to go
but We love to come Home.
God has called us to our unique niche
in the Northwoods.
We Absolutely Love Jesus!
and frankly, We have Grown Very Fond of our Town...
...and so we have found,
it is Our Ongoing Mission
to have the Two
Meet Up! Build Up! and Grow Up!
It is our greatest wish for our kids
to know and be known by Jesus.
It is our deepest prayer that you,
would know and be known by Him.

//Holy Buckets//
Holy Buckets is Right
Thanks to our Many friends through Church & Camp
we were able to distribute a Hundred of
these Water Filters and Bucket!
After Visiting Homes and Businesses in the Marketplace,
it became very apparent how precious water is.
The gift not only amply supplies their dietary need,
but now they will no longer need to boil their water,
which saves them time (boiling and cooling down),
and it saves them money (costly charcoal stoves).
All they need to do is take care of the filters,
flush them with purified water after every bucket...
If they take care of the filters -
it has the potential life span of 25 years!
It was our privilege to assist in the distribution and training of these buckets, we also gave each family de-worming medication to make sure their system was free of the bacteria that also causes
the water born illnesses.
~ Reunion in Uganda ~
In the last 5 years we have been
blessed by the people of Uganda.
They are a people who value relationships,
loyal to family, have a great work ethic, and
express uninhibited joy.
We "Go" and we "Do" out of obedience
to the high call of Christ.
But being "Missional" both home and abroad
is a reward in itself. In serving we are served...
In being a blessing we are blessed...
In sharing our grief & our laughter -
- the tears are a shared sorrow...
- and the laughter is multiplied...
Each Reunion with old friends - reminds us the
People God has called to himself.
It has been our privilege to watch these people
mature as a people, as a tribe, as followers of Christ.
Pius @UgandaParkSafaris
He and His family hosted us in their home,
attended their boy's Birthday Party,
and he took us on a spectacular Game Drive
[Murchison Park]
Purity ~ one of our favorite interpreters from
our very first trip years ago met up with us for lunch...
we were able to UpCycle as a gift, Tori's old phone for Purity
She is a real treasure, excited for what she is doing for Jesus.
Richard ~ the itinerant minister.
He has finished his seminary,
He is speaking at Youth Conferences All over Uganda...
and He is getting MARRIED.
[We hooked him up with some new shoes]
Wishing we would have timed our arrival for the Wedding :(
Jayne ~ SOHI Country Director
Excited to see the continued direction of SOHI
with Jayne's Lead. I learned so much, watching her
manage people, Her methods are unmatched,
and she has a heart for Jesus that translates to her people.
Abel ~ MC of our 1st Youth Conference Masaka
This guy went and got married. Excited for their next adventure.
BONUS: Late Night Ride thru the Streets of Masaka
on a Boda-Boda - thanks Abel
